Each node — Vashi, Nerul, Belapur, Kharghar — is laid out cleanly, but the Thane–Belapur Road and the Sion–Panvel highway are the main fast links, and both clog at peak hours. Base at Nerul or Belapur to reach north and south. Monsoon waterlogging hits the low-lying Panvel side.
